How the actuator legs work:

OfficeFIT® adjustable height products employ a ‘Fly by Wire’ system of adjustment. Each actuator leg has its own motor that is connected to a central controller. The controllersimply counts the revolutions of each motor as they move and increases or decreases electricity to each leg assembly on the circuit, to keep all units synchronized and level.

Using wires in place of chains and gears to connect and control leg movements making them smooth, quiet, and accurate. For example, if a heavy printer is placed on one end of a work station, the controller senses the extra load on the leg under the printer and automatically balances the electrical requirements of the entire system to keep the work surface level as it changes heights.
